A parish taking shape

We are a growing group of Orthodox Christians petitioning His Eminence Metropolitan Nicholas of Eastern America and New York, First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia (ROCOR), for his blessing to establish a new parish in Northern Virginia.

Rooted in tradition. Worshipping in English.

Our hope is to build a parish rooted in the spiritual and liturgical tradition of the Russian Orthodox Church, with services primarily in English and portions in Church Slavonic—a language that has carried the prayers of generations.

A life centered on Christ

At the heart of this effort is a shared desire for a life centered on Jesus Christ: prayer and the Divine Liturgy, the Holy Mysteries, friendship, and service to our neighbors.

A community where you are welcome

We envision a multicultural parish where people of every background can worship together, grow in faith, and care for one another. Whether you have been Orthodox all your life, are discovering the Church for the first time, or simply wish to learn more, you are welcome.

Join us as we begin

We are in the early stages of organizing and await His Eminence’s blessing and guidance. The parish’s patronal dedication has not yet been determined and will be established with the blessing of our bishop. As plans develop, we will share news about our parish, its location, and opportunities to gather.
